JOB SUMMARY:

The Assistant Golf Professional is expected to assist with the daily tasks and procedures of the Golf Operation.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver a polished, professional, and member‑focused presence throughout the Club and Golf Operations.
  • Open and close the Golf Shop and manage daily shop operations, including member checking and billing.
  • Manage tee sheet reservations, changes, and cancellations to support optimal course flow and member satisfaction.
  • Assist with tournaments and events, including registration and scoring using Golf Genius.
  • Provide club fitting services and perform minor club repairs.
  • Monitor pace of play and address on course issues professionally and discreetly.
  • Support retail operations through merchandising, inventory control, and visual displays.
  • Manage new and current members in the GHIN Handicap System.
  • Assist with junior golf programs, adult clinics, and instructional initiatives.
  • Provide private golf instruction for members and guests as needed.
  • Support outside services operations and perform other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Often required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouch.
  • Ability to lift boxes and/or objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICAITONS:
  • PGA Member or PGM Associate preferred.
  • College degree preferred; High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of team management, organizational and coaching skills.
  • Experience with Word, Excel and Golf Genius software.
