We are seeking a passionate and customer-focused Tennis Pro Shop Manager to lead our retail operations and enhance our members’ experience.
Position Overview:
The Tennis Pro Shop Manager will oversee all aspects of our Pro Shop’s daily operations, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our members. This role requires a blend of retail expertise, a passion for tennis, and a commitment to outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Retail Operations Management:
• Lead all daily operations of the Pro Shop, including opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels; manage ordering, receiving, and accurate record-keeping.
• Design and implement effective merchandising strategies to boost sales and enhance product visibility.
• Assist members and guests with purchases and product inquiries, ensuring a personalized shopping experience.
• Event Coordination and Support:
• Collaborate with the tennis department to coordinate food and beverage selections for team events and tournaments.
• Contribute to the development of the annual tennis calendar and assist in planning and executing events.
• Manage administrative tasks, including email communications, document preparation, and scheduling.
• Member Engagement and Services:
• Process member transactions and address billing inquiries promptly and accurately.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing and resolving member issues and concerns professionally.
• Assist with court reservations and scheduling to optimize facility usage.
• Actively participate in social tennis events and promote club activities to foster a vibrant tennis community.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in retail management, preferably within a sports or specialty retail environment.
• Strong knowledge of tennis, including familiarity with ALTA/USTA rules and regulations.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Proficiency in computer software, including Point of Sale (POS) systems and inventory management tools.
• Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• A genuine passion for tennis and a dedication to enhancing the member experience through outstanding service.
