JOB TITLE: Golf Shop Attendant
DEPARTMENT: Golf Operations
REPORTS TO: Head Golf Professional
JOB SUMMARY:
The Golf Shop Attendant is responsible for facilitating standard inside operating procedures of the Golf Shop. This specifically relates to Member/Guest check in, Golf Shop Cleanliness, and assisting the Golf Professional Staff with daily responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with the Head Golf Professional and Professional Staff to complete daily tasks.
- Meet and greet all Members and Guests in a friendly, professional manner.
- Answer phones and assist Members and Guests with booking tee times and general questions.
- Responsible for POS transactions between merchandise sales and tee sheet billing.
- Ensure cleanliness of Golf Shop and that merchandise is stocked in a presentable way.
- Communicate to outside service attendants regarding any changes to the tee sheet or course updates.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the Head Golf Professional.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Often required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouch
- Ability to lift boxes and/or objects up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Knowledge of the general game of golf preferred
- Present a positive, professional image
- Self motivated and customer service oriented
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
